Bag Your Umberella

Posted in product design with tags , on August 9, 2008 by anonimiss

Here is a nice & efficient solution to keep your wet umbrella inside & not wetting the area around umbrella stand. The simple & amazing idea is of designer S.H. Son. The Inside Out Umbrella fully inverts into a small bag. The umbrella has a bag, turn it inside out & the umbrella is covered in a stylish looking bag. Brilliant.

Blanket Stories

Once upon a time there was a blanket…….

A really innovative blanket designed by Tiago da Fonseca, as part of the ‘SLEEPLESS‘ project that involves reactive installations and objects that invite guests and visitors to take part in an experience and step into a hidden dimension where a hotel is more than just a place for the night. The blanket has several layers or ‘pages’ each containing a traditional bedtime story. You could use either one or many of them to help you snuggle and sleep.

‘Bare’ Your Inner Self??!!

Okay, this is a really cool design by Okat, who I feel is sort of ‘ogden nash(ish)’ (though not the whole way through), you’ll know what i mean when you check out his site, profile and work….. Anyways, coming back to the design in question, here’s what Okat has to say – ‘having never customized shoes before, i started with a few beers, some left-over acrylic and my own bare feet and ugly toes as inspiration.’

Well, I love the end product and am going to try one myself this weekend! and if the result is even close to good, i’ll post it out here for you guys to judge…..

Hang up Your Books

Loved this Bookhanger designed by ünal & böler. The designers have made use of a  conventional hook form and function with the idea of using less material on book storage. Pieces hooked on each other complete the whole with colors, weight balance and juxtaposition of the books within. Would look great in an office environment.
