I love the packaging designed by The Partners for Stanley Honey that promotes the re-use of the clay plant pot to encourage more honey making in the future! It is eco-friendly without compromising on  the graphic aesthetic and is not just about selling the product, but an attempt to make it sustainable.

The ‘ISoLikeIt’ Chair

The Isometrc Chair by Kalon Studios is beautiful because of its simplicity and elegance. Simple ergonomic form made in 100% sustainable material – bamboo, with a hint of intricate CNC carving to add that subtle glamor….I love it.

Then, the designer also has this really nice set of nesting stools that complements the chair. I think I like these even more than the chair itself!

FLOW against the flow

FLOWmarket is one site I really liked for many reasons.

1] it talks about sustainable design, which is a subject close to my heart

2] it conveys the designer’s idea so simply, he’s hit the bull’s eye here…..

3] the b/w design of the site itself is minimal, uncluttered, friendly and universal

4] the products for sale, which comprise the ‘scarcity goods collection’ (such as a 5kg bucket of ‘holistic thinkin’ or ‘sustainable innovation’ or a 20ml syringe of ‘collective consciousness’), bring out paradoxical emotions – they make you laugh and they make you cringe…..

…….What the heck, it’s nice, it’s meaningful, it’s thought provoking and it’s satirical, need I say more?
