How Flat is That??

Flat Bulb designed by Korean designer Joonhuyn Kim,  has a volume that is 1/3 smaller than ordinary bulbs. Its unique the flat shape takes care of the problem of rolling away, faced by ordinary bulbs (consequently preventing breakage). But what really makes this bulb special is that it reduces the cost of packing and transport and its unique shape allows it an easy storage. Wow!

An Ode to Edison…..

In that spirit of taking the austere beauty of industrial light fixtures and adapting them for home interiors, Pottery Barn has taken the bare essentials of lighting – wires, sockets and bulbs – and elevated them to a lofty aesthetic. The chandelier can be hung in any configuration to suit any room’s decor. Ten fabric-covered cords extend from a circular bronzed ceiling plate, with clear oversized bulbs that have visible filaments. The design does do justice to its name- Edison Chandelier, and I quite liked it as much for its elegance as for its quirkiness.
