Old Blankets + Recycle = Beautiful Rug

Posted in green, interior design, product design with tags , , , , on September 18, 2008 by anonimiss

This recycled blanket rug by Tejo Remy and Rene VeenHuizen uses strips of old blankets in a new way. Turned on edge, the blanket strips give the rug cush and a luxurious thickness. I love the beautiful blend of colors that would suit almost all spaces and the amoebic shape.

The Stamp on your Rug

Liked this bright, quirky rug – Stamp – by Smith & Wightman. This 100% natural wool felt rug uses as a reference, its own production method as well as a sheet of postal stamps. Though it looks good just the way it is, it offers immense possibilities of being taken a step further to create something much more brilliant…..well, that what I think.
